Cross-chain assets with Polkadot - Bringing $DOT to Cardano

Hey all,

I’m working with the uniFires team to bring interoperability, cross-chain collaboration and learnings between Cardano and Polkadot. One of the first things I’m trying to do is bring over a level of cross-chain assets from the two chains.

I have a couple of questions.

We need to incentivise users on both Polkadot and Cardano to move liquidity over to a Minswap pool.

  1. Would people want farming rewards for an ADA/DOT liquidity pool?
    1a) If so, what farming rewards?

  2. Any other ideas to bring DOT users to Cardano to explore what DeFi is like here would be appreciated.

We’re doing the same on the other side, giving users options to move assets from Cardano to Polkadot to buy NFTs and participate in DeFi there.

Any feedback on these ideas would be appreciated. We’re just seeing what people would be interested in and then investigating how best to execute them.

  1. Of course, farming is important to incentivize liquidity. I think the Minswap DAO would be open to that.
